 CHESS:
A Triumph!
Everyone at HAODS is slowly recovering from our recent blockbuster
production of CHESS, which played to near-capacity
houses all week long.
Without doubt this was HAODS' most spectacular show to date, and
what a shame we didn't have the theatre booked
for a second week!
The standing ovations and roar
of the audience as "Anthem" was encored on the final evening
said it all - BRAVISSIMO, HAODS!

part in a theatrical show, whether on stage or off!
At HAODS we are a lively, friendly society that is
keen to welcome new members. Even if you have never
set a foot on the stage before you will soon find yourself
part of the team and enjoying yourself among many new
friends.

About Us
Since its creation in 1954 by a handful of enthusiastic amateur players,
HAODS' membership has been growing from strength to strength, with members
bringing a variety of theatrical experience with them.
The early days were fraught with financial constraints, but nothing
could dampen the desire to put on a show. Over the past half-century,
the society's now traditional bi-annual productions have not only become
more diverse, but challenging too, as each year our experience grows
and we attract more talent, both on stage and behind the scenes.
From its early beginnings in the old Capitol Theatre, and temporary
locations in successive years, HAODS is now privileged to be able to
stage its productions at the town's new Capitol Theatre in liaison
with Horsham District Council with whom we have worked for a number of
years.
With a growing membership, invaluable support from the Horsham community,
together with many local organisations, HAODS continues its quest to
provide regular and affordable entertainment. New members are always
welcome to join us at HAODS House at the Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre
where our purpose-constructed rehearsal studio, costume wardrobe and
stage props workshop are located.
Mikado - More Men Please!
Rehearsals for our April 2012 show "The
Mikado" are well underway and are sounding great, but they would
sound even better if we had some more members in the men's chorus!
